Operating Engineers Construction Industry and Miscellaneous Pension Fund.

You may retire on an early retirement pension provided you satisfy the following conditions:

  • You are no longer working for an employer participating in this plan.
  • You are 55 or older.
  • You have completed at least 10 years of credited service.

If you retire on or after January 1, 2000 with at least 10 years of credited service and are age 62 or older, your monthly early retirement benefit is equal to a benefit calculated using the normal retirement formula. If you retire with at least 10 years of credited service prior to age 62, your early retirement benefit is the benefit calculated using the normal retirement formula reduced by 1/4 of 1% for each month that the first benefit payment precedes age 62.

If you retire on or after January 1, 2000, with at least 20 years or credited service and are age 60 or older, your monthly early retirement benefit is equal to a benefit calculated using the normal retirement formula. If you retire with at least 20 years of credited service prior to age 60, your early retirement benefit is the benefit calculated using the normal retirement formula reduced by 1/4 of 1% for each month that the first benefit payment precedes age 60.
